Representation
Artist statment
I am a sound artist who creates site-specific sound installations inspired by space and texts. My work explores the relationship between sound, space, and the human experience. I am interested in how sound can be used to create immersive and evocative experiences that transport the listener to new worlds.
I often use found sounds and field recordings in my work. I am drawn to the unique qualities of these sounds, which can be both familiar and unfamiliar. I use them to create soundscapes that are both realistic and surreal.
I am also interested in the use of text in my work. I often use text to create a sense of narrative or to explore ideas about language and meaning. I am interested in how sound and text can be used together to create a more complex and nuanced experience for the listener.
My work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world. I have also been commissioned to create sound installations for a variety of public spaces, including museums, libraries, and parks.
I believe that sound is a powerful medium that can be used to create art that is both beautiful and thought-provoking. I am committed to creating work that challenges the listener's perceptions of sound and space.
